Shanghai- Flavours of China Town (Barasat)

I recently dined at this restaurant that specializes in Chinese cuisine, and while my experience was generally positive, there were a few aspects worth noting. The food was well-prepared and flavorful, showcasing the skill of the kitchen staff. The highlight of the visit, however, was the service. The staff were both polite and jolly, adding a pleasant touch to the meal. However, I was slightly disappointed to find that the menu lacked some traditional ingredients like pork, lamb, and seafood, which are often staples in Chinese cuisine. This omission was a bit of a letdown, as it limited the variety of dishes available. In terms of value, the meal for two came to Rs 1500-2000, which felt reasonable given the quality of the food and service. Overall, it's a good spot if you're in the mood for a pleasant dining experience, but be prepared for a more restricted menu if you're craving specific Chinese ingredients.

Waiter service is very poor, Starter arrives after 20 minutes. Ordered Chicken achari kabab 360/- Taste like nothing only green chutney had flavor. didn't order anything after all this. Definitely worst worst experience

Disappointing Experience at Shanghai Restaurant, Barasat Duckbungalow Branch. I recently visited the Shanghai Restaurant at Barasat Duckbungalow branch for lunch and was left underwhelmed. We started with the Fish in Butter Pepper Garlic, which tasted decent but seemed like it had been prepared hours ago or was possibly leftover from the previous day. Unfortunately, the dish was not even warm. The main course was equally unimpressive. The Burnt Garlic Mixed Fried Rice was average in taste, but lacked any discernible flavor of burnt garlic. The Kung Pao Chicken was a letdown, with excessive salt and sourness overpowering the dish. Considering the high price point (Rs 1000 for two people), the quantity of food was inadequate. While the ambience and service were above average, they couldn't make up for the subpar food quality. Overall, I would caution against visiting this restaurant unless they improve their food quality and pricing. Definitely think twice before spending your money here.

1 of the Best Chinese Restaurants in locality. I occasionally order food from this restaurant via Zomato and Swiggy. Till now, I've ordered : " Paneer -- Full Plate [10 pieces]", "Kung Pao Paneer -- Full Plate [10 pieces]", "Non-Veg Bowl (Veg + )", "General Tso'S [5 pieces]", "Hot Garlic [5 pieces]", "Schezwan [5 pieces]", "Bulgogi [5 pieces]", " Gravy [5 pieces]", "Devil's [Half]", " in Black Bean Sauce [5 pieces]", etc.

We visited sanghai twice the food quality is top notch. The staff is polite and well mannered. It is a bit pricey but worth the experience. The interior is nice and gives a feeling of warmth. I would not recommend trying any drinks (personal opinion) Do your research on what you want to have because the Manu might be a bit confusing at times. Overall a nice place for a family outing. Pocket pinch 1000-1500(for 2 person)

I have ordered through Zomato.. the egg fried rice is smelling like rotten food.we had a hard time to find egg in egg fried rice. the noodles & chilli chicken have no flavour.. full of sauce.. tastes awful

If you are craving delicious Pan-Asian food, then there is no other place to go than Shanghai. They have an extensive menu of specialty dishes to serve, almost all of which are mesmerizing. Service is excellent, environment is good and the food is just unbelievably good. Location wise it's a prime one, right at Dakbunglow More. Overall I liked it very much and I will definitely visit again and again.
