Someplace Else, Kolkata, Park Street Area

Strictly one time visit and then look for better pubs. The place is located at Park hotel (Park street - Kolkata) Very small place with limited seatings. Be sure to reserve a seat if you wish to visit the place. The late comers have to stand. The band did not start until 10:00 pm and place was empty. People were having a quick bite and leaving. The music is too loud for the kind of place which is very small. You have table sitting and bar sitting as well.

Love this place for it's live performances. Even otherwise the music is nice. The playlist is not too loud. The atmosphere is nice to enjoy a quiet chat. We ordered the Caldera draught, mutton seekh kabab, and masala papad. Not many options in draught. Caldera felt a bit watery. I had tasted Caldera at a brewery previously. That was better. The seekh kabab is good but a bit too oily.

It has become my go to place once a week could be a lil heavy on pocket but that depends on people otherwise a good place to hangout, nice live music they could bring in better bands. It's probably for an individual/group looking for jazz kind vibe this is the place for you

Been here a dozen times. Probably for the past decade or so. From a houseful to a bare few, someplace else has lost its charm. Not to say it is overly expensive. Two ultra would coat you 1400 bucks with a bill with no taxes. Weird. They would occasionally not keep draught beer to force you to buy expensive beer. Some of the male bartenders have such attitude that they are doing some ehsaan on you. Bands are local artists (nothing wrong with it). But the starcast that we used to wait for, is gone. Don't get me wrong, i like the vibes. But it feels like you are being cheated. The people you will find are just some rich regulars and fan of the bands that show up. You wanna chill with live music and good ambience and save money? Pick some place else. This is no longer it.

Nice ambiance. A bit like an old school. Nice vibe. When the evening turns into night slowly, the music gets louder and louder that you can't even listen to the person sitting beside you. Otherwise it's recommend. It is inside the The Park. Got some cheap Bira beer in an happy hour. The service is also good. Crowd is nice too.

Over-hyped place amongst the pseudo music lovers.. The quality of crowd is weird. Because it is over crowded you never get place to sit.. The volume of live music is so high that one will come out with a headache for sure. Valet parking is probably the only good thing I can think about..
