Today was my first time visiting this cafe and I really liked the ambiance and food there and the way Dada treated us. He is very friendly and since he does everything by himself, it takes a while to serve the food which is normal. It is not easy for him to handle so much alone.I would recommend everyone to visit this cafe. The cafe is very small but very very beautiful. A very good cafe to sit and chat with friends. I found something very simple and authentic in this cafe and the old culture of Kolkata. Price is also average.

I would like to share with you some words about the cafe.it is a very suitable place to sit with a Cup of tea ,coffee or snacks or to spend spare time with your friends . Food is good but overpriced for sure. They claim their service and stuffs to be homely but that's not with their price definitely. The main thing about this place is you get to have food in this place on the rowak of uttor kolkata which reminds us of the bygone era, and the adda over cha. The decoration and painitings are nice.The owner is over talkative and he pushes you to have more expensive items calling his own cheaper items as 'not so good.' The waiting time is a bit too high. The food is not out of the world but quite like the regular street side stalls. Edit :-Got to know, surprisingly they charge extra if you opt to sit indoors. I mean, why charge extra bucks if one opts to sit indoors, what's the extra cost for?

Best road side cafe with great nostalgic ambiance and great behaviour. Hats off to that guy for his struggle and dedication towards the work. Everyone should help and promote this guy. Everyone must visit there and try the foods.

The owner handles the entire thing on his own -- from taking care of the place to preparing the food, so it's better on his side if we contact him beforehand the visit so that he can prepare accordingly. Also, he is very talented and seemed like a genuine person. He also gave us a free pass to an art exhibition going on at Star Theatre during the year end week. The vibes are definitely one of a kind and the essence of North Kolkata while munching on food, sitting on a rowak -- you'll love every bit of it. The wall art in the front is exquisite. Will definitely recommend visiting to support small businesses.

I am a firm believer that a food joint/restaurant, above all, should be judged by the quality, quantity, and taste of the food served, along with the service of the place. However, it is also true that any place trying to establish an honest business should be supported if it checks all the right boxes. This place does this for me. The young entrepreneur has taken out his time to mark up this North Kolkata lane with his paintbrushes & spatulas. We tried several quick bites including sandwiches and momos and to my satisfaction, all of these tasted more than decent. Yes, there is some way to go before a standalone dish is created here, but everything on offer at this point deserves a repeat visit. Do call them before visiting as they don't prepare much excess food. Enjoy the Rowak in the old Kolkata charm and have a good time with your companions basking in the warm hospitality.

It's a very budget friendly cafe, actually it's a combination of the old north Calcutta and modern cafe, yeah, it's a place where you can spend some good times while Gossiping with friends or family, the owner himself is a very kind hearted person, he suggests the best thing out of his menu, which is budget friendly too... The art works made on the Rowak describes the old days when females used to wear red bordered white saree and have long black hairs, basically the beauty of woman, The food has a modern touch, Though the owner(he is the only cook who attends customers and takes orders and serves it too, though sometimes his father helps him) takes a little time to prepare the items, still it worth it, because it is all about spending some good times not only just to order food and eat it, and the owner himself had already mentioned that if you don't have much time then you should skip them, But according to me, they worth it all...
