Highly Recommended. It's a very old bar located at middle of Jodubabur bazar Bhowanipore. The place is around 90 years old. The Food is great The Drinks are super affordable The Ambience is old school and overall vibe is amazing. Each and Every staff is very responsive and takes care of your order. They also remember what you order on food and drinks if you're a regular visitor. Don't forget to try their signature Mutton Liver Kosha if you're visiting this place any day.

It is a old calcutta style place for drinking and spending time with friends. It have an amazing vibe which cannot be described by words. Drinks are of reasonable price, food are too. I like the fact that the drinks price are including gst. Server behave good if tip is good, which is standard in these kinda place. Food service is slower some times, be patient. Old heritage bar located on Ashutosh mukherjee road and very close to Netaji bhawan metro or Jaggu bazar. The menu prices are reasonable and drinks are also prices at pocket friendly rates. There are two different seating areas, AC & Non-AC. I went to the Non AC one and the entire area is smoking area which might be a problem for non smokers. But overall a nice budget friendly place to hang out with friends. BEWARE- waiters/servers will force you to tip so be prepared.

It is almost 90 years old bar cum restaurant running in Kolkata, the atmosphere here is soothing wil give you nostalgic vibe with not wo expensive and tables, i will recommend you guys, you can visit if you want to have some drink with food even want have some pocket friendly restaurant food you can visit this place. Staff behaviour is also very friendly. Food quality is good and it is fresh what they are serving. Yes they take atleast 20-30 minutes to serve you specially if you visit them early in the noon around 1-2 pm. I will prefer there Chinese items and i will avoid fish items. As in fish items you may find deep smell and bitter taste overall dont go for fish items. Rest is fine. I am attaching photos as well please check them. I liked this hotel because it was good and neat. There was a hall but the food was good. I would like to say that the rate is reasonable. Overall it is the best hotel. But one important thing is that the waiters here forcefully ask for tip and I don't like it.

Tripti bar was established in the year 1935, and is pinned right at the heart of Jogu Bazar. The nearest metro would be Netaji Bhavan. An old staircase cuts you off from the Chowrangi Road and takes you up to this nostalgia-laden, dimly lit pub on the first floor. It's said legends like Uttam Kumar, Ritwick Ghatak once used to frequently spend their evenings here. It has a tall ceiling with long hanging fans and a few lamps. There is a wall-art with painting of the legends along with iconic Kolkata graphics and excerpts of songs written on it. The price is very economical, considering the location and heritage. Waiters are courteous but the Food is sub par. It has 2 sections. One AC, other Non AC. A few tables in the AC section can be found hosting families or women, but mostly the crowd is office-returning men. But it felt safe for ladies as well. The waiters are well-mannered. Regarding food, the pineapple cherry with cheese (INR 170/-) and fish finger (~ INR 200/-) are the best choice of side dishes to order, as per our experience. For your reference: Blenders Pride costs only 105/- for 30 ml, 200/- for 60 ml. Point to note. Do not pay tips online along with the bill without asking them. For some reason they don't consider it a tip.

Today after suppressing many emotions, I went out again with two friends. The bar is my favorite because this bar was established in 1930. This bar has one non AC and another AC room, where you can sit and talk, have a drink and talk about your thoughts. . This bar has no music, no dance, so this bar is my favorite. Food is available here. The cooking is very tasty. I came here first. But I said it in my heart because historical things attract me very much because there is history hidden in every wall.

it's a pretty old bar honestly, younger generation I feel visits this place for nostalgia and it's a go to place for the middle aged people. Overall not so bad, do give it a try!
