Ambience is typically hand painted bangali cultural themes. The sitting arrangement is quite decent. Bengali veg foods taste is too good and rice too. Chicken and mutton dishes are disappointing because those were not fresh and chewy in nature. Fish items are not bad. But the price is too high.

Easily accessible . Ample parking space Food is good Only place in kgp where you find authentic Bengali food, the food tastes yummmm, i tried their hilsa and chiken and it was tempting . There are few dishes which are prepared on order so you can call them prior and get their special dish made

Delicious food. Their shukto is great. Thalis are very reasonable. The quantity of items is sufficient for more than one. Courteous staff.

We ordered Basanti poulo and Kosha chicken. 1. The chicken was cold. 2. And not at all Kosha chicken style at all. 3. Overall, the food was tasteless. 4. They serve you very late. Overall, if you are a Bengali food lover, this place is not worth it; they just have a name and fame due to other branches in Kolkata.

Food quality is very good. Service is okayish. Takes apprx 35 to 40 mins for serving lunch ( standard veg thalis) for 5 persons.

Atmosphere is good. Parking place available. Food quality and quantity decent and little costly.

Very good experience. The food was really nice, ambience was very good, and the behaviour of the staff was very polite. If you want to get authentic bengali taste, then you won't be disappointed. We had taken two veg thalis, one plate chingri malaikari (3 pcs), one plate Chingri bhapa, half plate extra rice, and one nolen gurer ice cream. Total price was around 1300, which I think is very reasonable (compared to other authentic bengali chain restaurants). The veg thali had following items: fine rice, ghee, shukto, shak, potol bhaja, a few cucumber slices, goina bori, mixed veg with paneer, daal, papad, chatni, rasogolla, payesh. They served in brass plate & glass, covered with banana leaf. Everything was very clean. Overall a nice experience. Would highly recommend.

We visited the restaurant for lunch to experience their thali. So we started to look for thali in the menu card and we were ordering thali but their staff was continuously trying to make us order the same dishes individually. He was like thali will take 30 min but if you order the same dishes individually it will come sooner. Like seriously? Is there any logic? May be its their strategy to make a high amount of bill but customers are not fool nd for this behavior they will think to visit again. If you ordered something and want to change within 5 min only they will not allow you. Overall the food was good but it's overpriced, I must say it's overpriced. Staff's behavior and service was average. Their one and only intention was to make a high bill, nothing else I'll not visit Kharagpur's Ami Bangali again nd won't recommend at all.
